Participating schools turned up in busloads for the tournament, which kicked off at noon.
In the Under 20 boys division, Takuilau College gave Tonga High School 2-0 while Tonga College defeated Liahona High School 2-0 and edged above Takuilau College in points to top their pool by goal difference.
Tonga High School Under 20 Girls maintained their lead in the rankings defeating Liahona High School 2-0. While Takuilau college and St. Andrews High School drew their match 0-0.
A tough match between Tonga College and Tailulu College in the Under 17 Boys division saw Tonga College breaking the deadlock in the second half to secure a win against their opponent 2-1 and maintain their position on top of their pool. Liahona College U17 Boys secured a second equal position by downing Apifo’ou College 1-0.
Liahona High School U17 Girls team put on an entertaining match, defeating Takuilau College U17 Girls 4-2, and Apifo’ou College gave Tailulu College 1-0.
Draw three of this tournament will take even on Friday 17 June 2011 at Tonga’s home of football.
