As stipulate in the TFA Status, Chapter 27: Part 1,”The Annual General Meeting must be held once a year”.
The TFA Annual General Meeting took place at the Loto-Tonga Soccer Center over the week-end, an event that brought representatives from every football club members of Tonga Football.
The Annual General Meeting shall make decisions on matters falling within the competence of the general meeting by virtue of the TFA Statues, such as:
- approving the Agenda
- approving of the previous minutes
- approving all the reports from various departments
- approving of the Financial Report from 2020
- amendments to the Articles of Association
- approving of new Football Club application
- approving of budget for 2021
- the election of the auditor
Lord Ve’ehala, TFA President, chaired the Annual General Meeting and he led as per approved Agenda.
At the AGM, there were nineteen representatives football clubs attending including representatives from Vava’u, Ha’apai and ‘Eua.
The AGM endorsed registration of two new clubs as they have fulfilled the required process. TFA is pleased to announce the two recently registered clubs named as Vaini FC and Havelu FC as full members of TFA!
There were no other matters arose in the meeting. The Honourable Chairperson, Lord Ve’ehala then declared the meeting closed.
