Match Day 2 is now completed with Lolomana’ia on top of Pool A while Tongatapu Vahe Loto top of Pool B.
Still overwhelmed at having etched their names in the top of Pool A, coach Tapukitea Fakasi’eiki is hoping her side can continue their winning streak into the final.
However she knows Tongatapu Vahe Hahake is more experienced and that is their greatest challenge for her team to play next.
“Tongatapu Vahe Hahake have very good players and we can see that they’ve played a lot of matches, together,” she said.
“That’s where the difference is. Young Lolomana’ia players don’t play enough matches, but in the end this is football, any team can win.”

Lolomana’ia’s first game defeated Kaufana 4 – 1, and their second game they defeated Tongatapu Vahe Kolo 1 – 0, Fakasi’eiki is thrilled with regards to the milestone her side has already achieved and knows they’ve made their Island proud.
“The most important goal to get my girls to showcase their potential and their abilities plus and to experience this kind of tournament. A win in our last match will hopefully just be a happy ending for the tournament.”

Tongtapy Vahe Hahake is the runner up to Lolomana’ia, and that will be their final game in the pool round.
After winning one-from-three so far in the competition, Tongatapu Vahe Hahake coach Losevati Muavesi is preparing for a tough game against Lolomana’ia, the only other unbeaten side.
“We know that they are going to be very strong. We’ve seen Lolomana’ia’s play, they’ve got a lot of young talented players and they’re really going to be trying to win, as we’re going to have to do as well,” Muavesi said.
“They’re very robust, very athletic, they’ve put teams under a huge amount of pressure. They’ve got some real size so in set-pieces they’ll be a genuine threat.
“We know we’re going to have to be at the top of our game to win and they’re going to throw everything at us, but we’re looking forward to it. It’s going to be a good encounter and a nice way to finish the pool round, “ she added.
In Pool B, Tongatapu Vahe Loto is on top of the table point and they will face Tu’I Vava’u on their match day 3.
“There’s no room for error. Every game is of huge value, and every opponent needs to be taken even more seriously,” ‘Emelita said.

End!
