Training sessions are continuing to be conducted on a Monday afternoon 5.00pm to 6.15pm for Tongan girls U16 and U19 age groups to identify talented Tongan National Youth Women’s Team Players for the OFC U16 and U19 Championships in 2023.
Up to 47 enthusiastic young Tongan female players are regularly in attendance improving their football skill and training hard to be identified and selected. Additional Training and Match Training days will be added after the 2022 TFA Women’s Competition League has ended.

It has been excellent to have the current Tongan “Mataliki” Senior Women’s National team players assisting as they are able to share their experiences with the younger players, “Connie Selby said”.
Specific Goalkeeper Training is also conducted on Monday afternoon from 5.00pm to 6.15pm for young female goalkeepers who wish to improve their goalkeeping skills and be identified for future Tongan Youth National Teams.

The Senior Women’s National Team Train-on Squad training and Senior Talent Search Trails has been postponed till after the TFA Women’s Premier League is completed.
“Any potentially talented girls | women who are excited and willing to commit to working hard to represent Tonga are always welcome to attend training sessions”, Connie Selby added. The TFA National Women’s Coach, Connie Selby will also be visiting Vava’u from the 10th to the 15th of November to meet with Vava’u Football Association Officials, attend women’s club training sessions, talent search at women’s league matches and conduct a model talented youth player training session.
