TFA Major League has kicked off for 2022 with more teams joining this year’s campaign. According to TFA’s Competition Officer Hemaloto Polovili, 41 teams competed for last year’s cup in three different divisons and for this year’s competition, 5 more teams is joining with Ha’asini Football Club being the newest team to compete in the third division cup.
There are three divisions in the Men’s category. 8 teams are competing for the Premiers Cup, 8 teams are competing in Division II and 12 teams are competing in Division III. For the Women’s category there are two divisions where 6 teams will play in the Premiers division and also 12 Women teams will compete in the Division II.
TFA Major League kicked off with the Men’s Division II and Division III together with the Women’s Division II on Saturday 1st of October and will continue on until Premiers Division will kick off their campaign on Saturday 15th of October. All Divisions will play their games in round robins before heading on to the knock- out stage.
Both Veitongo FC’s Women and Men are the current champion of the TFA Major League Premiers Cup and they are looking to retain their title in this year’s competition.
