Rising star scores hat-trick to win Ha’amoko the Men’s Division II Competition 2023

Ha’amoko FC has booked their place in the 2024 Major League Men’s Premier Division after beating Longoteme in an entertaining final on Saturday 21st October in Loto-Tonga Football Centre main field.

The two sides was both locked 2 all in the first half before Ha’amoko’s speed star, Toni Kendler out-classed Longoteme’s defenders to score two goals in the second half to give Ha’amoko the Men’s Division II 2023 title.

However, the losing side opened the score board from a goal scored by number 9, Viliami Taula in the 12thminutes of the game.

It only took Ha’amoko 3 minutes to bounce back and register their first point on the board from a goal scored by 17 years old Nikolasi Vakatapu from an overhead pass which landed behind Longoteme’s Goalkeeper with Vakatapu right on the spot to finish it off.

Ha’amoko’s striker, number 14, Toni Kendler stole Ha’amoko the lead after scoring his first goal for the final in the 20th dominating his opponents to kick a goal from outside the penalty box.

Longoteme strikes back with a penalty kick in the last minutes of the first half by number 11 ‘Atu Fili to level the score at half time.

Ha’amoko showed very strong defending in the second half with Longoteme struggling to get the ball pass Ha’amoko’s Goalkeeper. With that dominance Ha’amoko counters attacking uses long ball through to their speed star, Toni Kendler to finish the game with two more goals added on the board to his name finishing the game 4-2.
