Tonga Football Association has successfully launched its first ever Talent Development Centre, the Vahe Loto TD Centre intended as a pilot for the other three Talent Development Centres. In a short program directed by Tonga Talent Development Manager, Hemaloto Polovili, he warmly introduced the 24 candidates that have been selected by the Vahe-Loto TD Coaches to lead this new Scheme in Tonga.
TFA General Secretary, Mr Lui ‘Aho gave his words of encouragement putting into picture to the mind of these young talented players that they are the best players in the Vahe-Loto District.
“The outlining of this program is to select the best young and talented players from all over Tonga. There are three other TD Centres which is Hahake, Hihifo and Vava’u TD Centres and they will all select their best players for their Talent Development Program. From all these TD Centres a small number will be picked of which we can say these are the most talented Football players in Tonga.”

Vahe-Loto TD Centre Coach, Viliami Taufa on behalf of the rest of his co-coaches, Mele Seini Tufui, Semisi ‘Otukolo and Timote Fakasi’i’eiki, had the privilege of receiving more training kits and equipments presented by TFA General Secretary, Lui ‘Aho for the Vahe Loto Talent Development Centre.
“First important thing is to know and appreciate your given talent and for you kids to be present here today makes the first impression of how important your talents are to you all. From here we can work hard in developing your talents to one day become the best players in Tonga and to represent us in the National Level.” Viliami Taufa to the Vahe-Loto TD players.
A short demonstration of how trainings should be done was done at the end of the launching program showcasing the curriculum of how the program will be conducted in these coming months before the next Talent Development Centre will be launched.
Vahe-Loto TD Centre has kicked-off their program with weekly trainings based at the Loto-Tonga Soccer Centre.
