A 23 men squad is currently preparing for the 2023 OFC U-17 Championship which is set to start on the 11th of January next year in Suva, Fiji. This 23 Men is the final squad after months and weeks of trainings and trials in preparation for the competition.
According to the team’s head coach, Lui Muavesi, the team had their last trials on a game with Navutoka FC last Tuesday before he sat with the rest of his officials to point out and pick the best player that they think are the best to represent the country for next year’s competition.

“The final squad will continue on their preparation three times every week. We will have training on Tuesday and Thursday and on Friday we will organize a friendly game and it will be continued until we will go into camp then we will train every day until we will fly out to the competition”, Lui Muavesi to TFA Website.
Five additional players is joining the squad as injuries replacement and they will be joining the squad in training. Assisting Muavesi is Mataliki’s current player, Tahi Fololeni with Viliami Fe’ao as the Team Manager. Team is set to depart from Tonga on the 7th of January to Fiji for the competition.
