American-based FIFA Coach Instructor, Ramon Raya is currently in the Island of Ha’apai conducting the 3rd FIFA Coaching Course for Beach Soccer for the Tonga Football Association Beach Soccer Coaches. 22 participants from different Islands in Ha’apai gathered in the Capital of Ha’apai eager to gain knowledge of the game to take back to their clubs.
The course started on Tuesday 8th of November covering 4 aspects of the game which is Physical, Technical, Tactical and also Psychological. Mr Raya explains how he is satisfied with how the participants were adapting very fast to the new concepts he had been demonstrating for the past few days.
“I feel happy, the course was great and I had the chance to share some knowledge and they learned a lot but of course I needed to tell them to ask me questions but for my point of view so far this course is a success and the people here in Ha’apai need to be thankful about the federation doing all this to bring the course as you know I come from far away and is not easy to return here very often and I think the attitude of the people participating the course was amazing how they pay a lot of attention to the things we were talking about and all over I think this was a good course.”
“Everything I always ask to see and to check if they have learned or not and it seems like at least for the things I think they needed and now they have more concept to work and to develop Beach Soccer here in Tonga” Ramon added.
The course will finish on Friday 11th November before Mr. Ramon Raya heads back to the main Island of Tongatapu the same day.
