With a thinner chance of grabbing the last spot for the OFC Champions League 2023 after Veitongo’s 1-0 lost to Tupapa Maraerenga FC last Saturday, Veitongo faces a must win game against Samoa’s Champion Lupe Ole Soaga SC this evening.
Head Coach, Timote Moleni confirms that 3 of his starting players are out for this game due to health issues and they are rested hoping to get better for the final game. “Captain, Kamaliele Papani and Striker, Hemaloto Polovili were sick and didn’t play in the first game.”

“Now Captain has recovered and will play against Lupe but the other striker, Christopher Kefu along with Defender, Pita Huni are now sick and will be rested.” Timote explains to TFA Website.
“We will face the best team in the Qualifying Play-Offs today and the absence of these 3 key players is a big loss for the team. However we have made a few changes around the positions to balance the team so they can play a tough game against the Samoans.”

“If the boys goes out the field and play their hearts out and do their best, they already won the game despite the results we will get today.” Moleni added.
Game will kick-off at 4:00pm local time.
