National Men’s Futsal team will start preparing for the OFC Futsal Invitational 2022
After three weeks of trials and preparation, National Men’s Futsal coach Mr. Manu Tu’alau has finalized his 12-men squad to represent Tonga in the upcoming OFC Futsal Invitational competition to be held in Fiji on September.
Manu Tu’alau is assisted by Longoteme’s Futsal team coach, Sione Teu and both has done a hard work to prepare this team for the competition. “We had a three days trial on the beginning of this month where we came up with a wider squad. This wider squad then started their training from the 11th until today we have picked 12-men to represent the team”.
“We were given a very short time to prepare for the competition but me and my assistants are doing our best to give the players the best training they need to prepare and adapt in this short period. The players are showing a positive attitude towards our preparation so I’m confident with what we are doing” Mr Tu’alau added.
The finalised squad will continue on with their preparation on Monday next week after notices has been given out on the radio and on social media platforms regarding the team’s training days and time.
This will be the third time for Mr. Tu’alau to coach our National Futsal Team and has coached both Women’s and Men’s National Futsal teams. This will be Tonga’s third National Football team to join in any competition after the OFC Women’s Nations Cup and the OFC U-19 Championship which is yet to be held in Tahiti next month.
