Stand up and build

The Tonga Football Association’s Technical Director, Kilifi Uele  hosted a two days workshop to introduce the TFA;s high performance concept to coaches that undertake the OFC C License from the past year.

The participants are currently working on their OFC C License and it is very important for them to also aware of what Tonga Football have in place.

‘’Some of you might select to be responsible with our national men’s team or national women’s Under 20, and this guideline will assist you’’, Uele said.

‘’The Tonga FA’s values, vision and mission are all in the guidelines together with the concepts of the TFA’s high performance.’’

Uele also stressed out how important to every coach to prepare a plan of their session and follow what he plan.

Unaloto Talasinga was the assistant coach for the women’s under 19 team last year, is continuing on working to achieve her OFC C License and she also participate in this workshop.

‘’I am so happy that I was called to come because I am still doing my practical and I won’t rest.  I believed this concept that we received today is so useful to me,’’ Talasinga said.

‘’Coach is not an easy task, there is a lot of challenges but if we follow what we had now, I can say Coach is as sweet as an ice cream,” Talasinga says.

Talasinga is also responsible with the Lotoha’apai women’s club.

Mr. Fililangi Ta’asi, the chairman of the technical sub committee officially open these two days workshop and the General Secretary, Lui ‘Aho was also presented.
