Takuilau dethrone Tonga Side School in U13 Girls

TSS has been dominating the division for three consecutive years but their supremacy came to an end after falling short in the actual game time, extra time and the shoot out.
Takuilau took an early claim of the title as their strikers find the net early in the first half. But the defending champion hit back in the second spell to tie the game up at 1-all with less then 10 minutes to play.
Both teams also fail to score after being forced to play a 10 minute extra time and the match decider will have to come down to the magic boots of the 5 best shooters from both side.
However, TSS missed 3 of their 5 shots at goal and Takuilau landed 4 to become the victors of the 2012 U13 championship.
The result was the highlight of the tournament’s final match day, that was held at the Home of Football, at ‘Atele.
The U-13 Girls was the only division that goes through the finals and the rest playing a championship point tournament format.
Takuilau took a clean sweep in the Girl’s competition.
In the Boy’s side, Tonga Side School was undefeated in the U-13 boys while Tailulu took both the U-17 and the U-20 title.
