New Development Officer joins TFA

Williams who is from Sydney, Australia, comes under the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development and will work alongside Technical Director Kilifi Uele as TFA Football Development Officer.
Williams has been working for Manly United for the past eight years in youth development and will be in Tonga for 12 months.
In welcoming Williams, Acting General Secretary, Lui Aho, said the valuable Australian addition to Tongas football family comes at a right time as football programmes continue to increase.
“Chris is highly qualified and TFA is pleased to utilise his skills and expertise” Aho said.
Williams first challenge is to take charge of the National U-17 boys team ahead of the OFC U-17 Mens Championship in January 2011.
Aho added “We are grateful that Australia continues to assist us, not only with our grassroots developments, Just Play, but also with personnels”
Williams replaces fellow countrymen, Marc D’Amici, who completed his term in late september.
