TFA ready for meeting

The three-day meeting is scheduled to start on Thursday 14 October at the Dateline Hotel’s conference room and will be attended by FIFA Vice President and OFC President Reynald Temarii and OFC Secretary General Tai Nicholas, as well as the other committee members.
The executives will deliberate on OFC vision and strategies as well as bilateral issues. The meeting will also coincide with TFA’s FIFA Goal III inauguration on Friday 15 October at 11am.
TFA General Secretary and OFC Executive Member, ‘Ahongalu Fusimalohi says 2010 has been a momentous year in all aspects of football developments locally and the association is honoured to host the region’s governing body on Tongan soil.
“The meeting will definitely strengthen our developments in Tonga and the region as a whole,” Fusimalohi says.
“There continues to be investment in football here and since Tonga piloted OFC’s grassroots development programme, Just Play, this will be a golden opportunity for the Executive Committee to witness first hand its success and growth.”
OFC is made up of 11 member associations from the region and is one of six confederations within FIFA.
The meetings delegation is expected to arrive in Tonga on Wednesday. Tonga first hosted an OFC Executive Committee meeting in 2002.
