Shape up in the northern Island

Representatives from 16 Vavaú football clubs attended with women’s football division and Just Play departments also taking part.
Mr. Kilifi Uele, TFA technical director travelled to Vavaú to conduct the seminar presenting the association technical and development plan for 2015.
Several courses have been directed to Vavaú including a Women’s Technical course and a separate league for women’s football which is being fully supported by FIFA.
Ms. Adelaide Tuívailala also travelled on behalf of women’s football section to commence preparations for the course and the competition.
“ I am very pleased with this seminar, as the representatives were willing to learn and listen to the plan and when I allowed them to put in some inputs, most questions raised were very constructive, “ Uele says.
“They promised that they will commit to assist in every way they can as long their competition will up and running”.
“Since rugby is banned in Vavaú, we must work hard to bring everyone to football”, he added.
Following the completion of this seminar, 12 women’s team have registered for the league which will kick off on Saturday 18th April, 2015 in the Kelana High School field.
